Lead Risk Assessment

Lead Risk Assessment

A risk assessment is an onsite investigation to determine if lead-based paint hazards exist and provide solutions on managing and reducing the identified hazards.  The risk assessment will include an investigation of the age of the structure, maintenance and renovation history, a visual inspection, and environmental sampling to include soil, damaged/deteriorated paint, and dust wipes.  The results of the risk assessment will be compiled into a report with recommendations for abatement or interim control actions specific to each finding.

A lead based hazard is any condition that causes exposure to lead from lead-containing dust, lead-contaminated soil, or lead-contaminated paint that is deteriorated or is present in accessible surfaces, friction surfaces, or impact surfaces that would result in adverse human health effects.
